Monarch Mix Zinnias

A mix includes bold and soft tones with single, semi double, or double petals. We’ve been working on this blend for 6 years and each year the monarch butterflies are drawn to them. You will even find the hummingbirds and bee’s enjoying the blooms all summer long. They are the perfect cut and come again flower for the home cutting garden.

Growing Tips

  • Start seeds 4 weeks before last frost lightly covering seeds.

  • Direct sow 1/4” deep when soil is about 65-70 degrees.

  • Watch for germination in 7-14 days.

  • Plant out after any danger of frost. They are very sensitive to cold.

  • Space about 6-9” apart in full sun.

  • We recommend pinching the the middle step after 2 true sets of leaves. This promotes more blooms! Cut them deep to keep them from going to seed.

  • They aren’t particularly picky about the soil.

  • About 70 days to maturity/bloom.

  • Annual flower.
