Garden Luxe Zinnia Blend
A thoughtfully collected blend featuring bold and soft tones with single, semi-double, and double blooms. This year we are using all new genetics!
Each summer, monarch butterflies are irresistibly drawn to these blooms, and you’ll often spot hummingbirds, bees, and other pollinators enjoying them all season long. These zinnias are a perfect cut-and-come-again flower, making them an ideal choice for the home cutting garden.
Seeds are hand covered, naturally pollinated, carefully collected, and saved from our most-loved, hand-selected varieties. Because zinnias freely cross-pollinate with help from pollinators, specific varieties are not guaranteed, but every mix is full of beautiful surprises.
Packet size: approximately 50 seeds
Growing Tips
Starting indoors: Start seeds 4 weeks before your last frost, lightly covering seeds. Not typically recommended. But if you want earlier blooms you can start them early indoors.
Direct sowing: Preferred method. Sow seeds ¼ inch deep once soil temperatures reach 65–70°F.
Germination: Expect seedlings to emerge in 7–14 days.
Transplanting: Plant out after all danger of frost has passed. Zinnias are very sensitive to cold.
Spacing: Space plants 6–9 inches apart in full sun.
Support: Can be grown in rows without netting for a natural look, or add netting for straighter stems, especially for cutting.
Pinching: Pinch the center stem after two true sets of leaves to promote branching and more blooms.
Harvesting: Cut deeply and often to encourage continuous flowering and prevent plants from going to seed.
Soil: Not particularly picky, well-drained soil works best.
Days to bloom: Approximately 70 days to maturity.
Type: Annual flower.
Succession plant every 2-3 weeks for abundant blooms all summer and fall.
